I began studying Karate under the instruction of Sensei Adamou at the age of 9, and due to his inspirational and skilled teaching, I am still practising the art nearly 20 years later. He demands the highest standards and practises traditional Shotokan Karate with technical skill, focus and passion. He has a respect and a love for Karate which cannot but affect all those who are fortunate enough to be his students. I owe him a great deal and encourage both long-standing Karateka and novices to take the opportunity to learn from him.

With very best wishes,

Stella Vassiliou KUGB, Oxfordshire

Good day to you all, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude and ongoing thanks to my sensei (Mr. Nicholas B. Adamou 8thDan) and great friend.

Having been a student at his club (IASK) for over 5 years, and attained a 2ndDan under his direct tuition. During this time as a karate-ka I have learnt many intellectual influences and dynamics. Also as a friend Nick has hugely helped me develop socially and academically, lending a big hand during my UK Masters Degree.

Today as a direct result of all these factors I believe I have become a great deal more self-assured, intellectually in-tune and physically healthier and creative. I always look forward to training at the Honbu Dojo, and always feel inspired to develop further… long may this continue.

I would also like to thank all those people inside and outside the IASK who have made my life inspiring and positive… I thank you all. Take care.
